How to find the most appropriate Keywords?

🔍 Step 1: Understand Your Business and Audience

  • Define your products, services, or content.
  • Identify your target audience: who are they, what problems do they have, what terms do they search?

📋 Step 2: Brainstorm Seed Keywords

Start with basic ideas:

  • Your product names
  • Services you offer
  • Industry terms
  • Competitor names

Example: If you run a visa consultancy, seed keywords might be:

  • "study visa"
  • "tourist visa"
  • "Canada PR process"
  • "student visa consultant"

🛠️ Step 3: Use Keyword Research Tools

These tools help find related keywords, their search volume, difficulty, and competition:

Free Tools:

  • Google Keyword Planner (via Google Ads)
  • Ubersuggest (by Neil Patel)
  • AnswerThePublic
  • Google Search Autocomplete (type a word in Google and see suggestions)
  • Google Trends (to check seasonal interest)

Paid/Advanced Tools:

  • Ahrefs
  • SEMrush
  • Moz
  • KWFinder (Mangools)

📊 Step 4: Analyze Keyword Metrics

Choose keywords based on:

  • Search volume: How many people search this per month?
  • Keyword difficulty: How hard is it to rank for this keyword?
  • Search intent: Is the keyword aligned with what your visitors are looking for?

Example:

  • “Canada study visa requirements” (informational)
  • “best visa consultant in Hoshiarpur” (commercial/local)

📎 Step 5: Check Competitor Keywords

Use tools like:

  • Ahrefs Site Explorer
  • SEMrush Domain Overview
  • Search competitors’ websites and analyze their metadata, content, and blog posts.

🧠 Step 6: Group and Organize Keywords

Group them into categories for:

  • Homepage
  • Service pages
  • Blog posts
  • Location-based keywords

Example:

  • Homepage: “Best immigration consultant in India”
  • Service Page: “USA tourist visa consultant”
  • Blog Post: “How to get a student visa for Canada in 2025”

📝 Step 7: Apply Keywords Strategically

  • Use keywords in: URLs, meta titles, meta descriptions, H1-H2 tags, image alt text, and content.
  • Avoid keyword stuffing. Write naturally for humans first, search engines second.
